Once you really dig into customization, you can start veering away from these presets, but it’s a fine line between “good looking” and “monster” at times. Most of my creations end up looking like Kristin Kreuk (though I'm not complaining). For the female Ranger class it’s hard to make your character not look like a gorgeous K-pop star. For the Warrior class, for example, all the preset faces will look like a buff chiseled white dude that resembles a cross between an American Gladiator and Gaston from Beauty and the Beast. What I did find interesting was the relative similarity among the custom faces, which I’m not really used to playing most western games. Whatever, since this is just a creator, I suppose all that doesn’t really matter. This is unlike most games where you can have any gender/race be any class, and there’s probably lore behind this I don’t know about. In the creator, your characters gender and even general appearance is based on their class alone. I really doubt that will happen with me, but I’ll be damned if I’m not going to fill up all my creation slots all the same. You have more freedom with these skills, such as being able to track your V cooldown.Presumably the point of this release is to get people hooked on the creator and then wanting to see their created characters in the game itself. To set the CD slots, go to your skill window (K) then click “Skill Cooldown Slot” at the bottom. The CD# slots are “cooldown” slots, you can put skills in these to simply track their cooldowns Drag and then press “1” to assign the skill to the “1” button. A tip to set it up faster is to drag the skill and then press the desired hotkey.

You then go into your skill window (K) and can drag a skill to assign it. Keys for the QS slots can be assigned under Settings > Interface Settings > Quick Slot Hotkeys, or by clicking the cog symbol when you hover over a quickslot. Only skills that can be assigned a key can be put in the QS slots. The QS# slots are “Hotbar” slots, so you can put certain skills in those and assign them to a key. If the element is white then it’s turned on. You can now move some elements around to customize your setupĬlick the eye symbols to turn the elements ON/OFF. Next, go back into the main menu (ESC) > Settings (F10) > Edit UI (2) įirst, go to Menu (ESC) > Settings (F10) > Settings (1).įrom there, General Settings > Quality of Life > Turn ON the “Quick Slot” setting Just make sure to save it!
